This is an official ODERSA website. Here’s how you know

The official domain

The address of this site ends in odersa.org. Every service the association runs sits on a subdomain of odersa.org and nowhere else. If the address in your browser’s address bar does not end in odersa.org, this site is not ours.

Free, and no account

Everything is open straight away. No sign-up, no account, no password, no subscription, no advertising. Nothing is held back for those who pay, because there is nothing to pay for.

No data collected

This site does not follow you: no tracker, no tracking cookie, no measurement tool built into these pages, and nothing measured on your device. Our host counts requests in aggregate, as any server that answers does: a total, never a profile. You do not have to take our word for it: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab, and reload the page. You will see the full list of what the site asks for. Everything comes from odersa.org, nothing goes anywhere else.

Free to reuse

The content is published under the CC BY 4.0 licence. You may copy it, translate it, print it and pass it on, for your classes as much as for the people around you, on one condition only: credit ODERSA.

Team

Direction, skills and affiliation

The division is carried by ODERSA, a French nonprofit association under the law of 1901 with no salaried staff. This page presents its direction, the disciplines that contribute to it, its institutional affiliation and the contact path.

The direction carries the scientific responsibility of the program: the choice of axes, the definition of measurement protocols, and the decision to publish. What the division asserts can be re-measured; what cannot be re-measured is not asserted.

The division operates within the statutory frame of the association, whose governing bodies and official records are published on odersa.org.

Skills

The disciplines behind verifiable generation

A verifiable generation system is proved as much as it is programmed. Mechanically re-verifying a document against its input facts is an object of formal logic; measuring coverage, sensitivity and specificity belongs to statistics; treating 1,000 languages equally engages linguistics; and the whole is built in computer science. These skills – computer science, formal logic, mathematics, linguistics – come together within the associative frame of ODERSA, which operates with no salaried staff.

The material handled by the system reaches beyond language itself: among the 8 measured fact domains stand chemical substances and celestial objects, alongside history, geography and living species. Serving those domains correctly, in every language, is precisely what the measurements on the Results page control.

Publication discipline

What the division asserts can be re-measured

A team with no salaried staff has one currency: proof. Mechanically verified properties, dated measurements, unretouched outputs – everything else waits.

Affiliation

A division of ODERSA

ODERSA Research is the research division of ODERSA, which stands for Organisation pour le Développement de l’Éducation, des Ressources et des Savoirs Accessibles. The association publishes its content under the CC BY 4.0 licence, with no advertising and no data collection. Its official information is published on odersa.org and is authoritative; this page links to it rather than copying it.

The division’s dated, regenerable measurements precede its formal publications: that is the order the house imposes on itself.

Contact

Working with the division

The division reads error reports (see Report an error) and answers requests about its measurements or outputs at research@odersa.org. Institutional proposals follow the same path.

The division operates with no salaried staff, like the association that carries it: contributions – proofreading, error reports, skills in computer science, formal logic, mathematics or linguistics – are welcome through the same address. The affiliation can be checked against the official information about the association.
